Mr H was seen on the in-patient pain round, having been admitted with abdominal pain secondary to chronic pancreatitis. He was a 45 year old gentleman who had developed pancreatitis at the age of 27.
He was referred to the in-patient pain team as his morphine PCA was not adequately controlling his pain.
