FPM survey on postoperative prescribing - CLOSED
The Faculty of Pain Medicine is conducting a survey into perioperative opioid prescribing
We understand there are a number of different prescribing practices for the management of post-operative pain across trusts and procedures. Opioids have the capacity to promote recovery after lifesaving or life-enhancing surgery however they can be associated with harm from persistent post-operative use.
The aim of this survey is to understand the current status of opioid prescribing for peri-operative adults in all acute hospitals across the UK. Please see the below link to access the survey and for further information and contact details contained within. This is an important topic for patients and clinicians so we would be grateful for your department's support in this endeavour.
We would be grateful if you could forward this to the people in your department as you feel appropriate. If the person completing the form is unsure of all of the answers please could they ask others in the department as appropriate.
