Joint statement about Ukraine

Reports of the war in Ukraine fill our screens and news feeds with images and stories of terrible suffering but also immense bravery. Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine. We deplore the conflict and support the actions being taken to end it. 

We stand with our colleagues who are helping those who have been injured in the war and we know that our members will be asking what they can do to help.  The Royal College of Anaesthetists, Faculty of Pain Medicine and Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, along with the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, is asking that if they can, people should donate to The Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. This will help pay for much-needed food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothing and shelter for people who have lost so much.
