Running a National Teaching Session

The National Teaching Sessions is a supplementary resource deigned to share good learning and good practice, and to allow the exposure of topics and teaching from other regions on an ad hoc basis.

If you would like to run a session, or would like to share resources by incorporating your regions existing teaching session, then see our guidance below that should  explain the process:

  • The teaching is organised locally, including contacting speakers and arranging timings.
  • The organiser sets up the online platform (e.g., Teams or Zoom).
  • Once confirmed, the programme and meeting link are shared with the FPM team, who then circulate them to all registered trainees.
  • Ideally, the session can be recorded and sent to the FPM team for uploading to the FPM website.
  • The event will be added to the National Teaching Programme webpage so trainees can see the schedule for the year.
  • Specified feedback can be distributed to trainees following the talks.
  • If additional administrative support is needed, we can arrange a call to discuss what is possible.
