Seeking your views on Surgery & Opioids Guidance

The FPM/RCoA Opioid Prescribing Project Working Party are pleased to release, ‘Surgery & Opioids: Best Practice Guidelines 2020' for open consultation.

This document represents the work of a multi-organisational and multidisciplinary collaboration and sets out the guiding principles in opioid management in the perioperative period. It has been developed by a multidisciplinary working party, including representatives from the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists, Royal College of General Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England, British Pain Society, Royal College of Nursing and Royal College of Psychiatry.

We would now like to seek wider views on the final draft of the document.
