Each reasonable adjustment request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. The following reasonable adjustments for written exams are not exhaustive and are provided as examples only:

Dyslexia

Visual impairment

  • Extra reading time or exam time as specified in the assessor’s report.
  • Changing the colour contrast via the stylesheet for dyslexia in TestReach.
  • Use of the Flex canvas in TestReach to allow for annotation, zoom and highlighting.
  • Additional note paper up to a maximum of 3 sheets.
  • Use of ear plugs to minimise distraction.
  • Use of a screen reader or live reader.
  • Paper-based exam at the College.
  • Changing the font size/type (paper-based exam only).
  • Use of an overlay (paper-based exam only).

Temporary conditions due to illness or injury

  • Use of a scribe, depending on the nature of the injury.
  • Rest breaks.
  • Additional comfort breaks.
